Fall Hike - Wild Food & Medicines

Fall HikeHosted by the Recreation Department, staff from the Earth Spirit Educational Services program will lead a leisurely hike through forest and wet land communities in search of wild plant foods and medicines. Snacks, natural nibbles will be provided along the way.

At Chestnut Ridge Village Trails

Ages 11 and up

$7 per person

Registration Closes at 4 pm on Friday 10/18

Meet at the main parking lot at the main entrance to the trail located directly off Breezewood Drive.

Please wear appropriate boots for hiking. Directions to Chestnut Ridge Village Trails from the Recreation Department located at 200 North Lake Drive.

  • When in the parking lot facing the skate park turn left onto Bank Street
  • Turn Right onto Thorn Ave
  • Turn Right onto South Buffalo St (you will not be able to go straight when you hit S. Buffalo St)
  • Continue down South Buffalo St, cross over RT 240 intersection
  • Turn Right onto Breeze wood Drive (will be shortly after the RT 240 intersection)
  • Follow Breezewood Drive until you reach the trail head which will be on your right hand side- you will see a small parking area and a wooden sign/bench
