Cross Country (5-12)

Spring 2025

What is Cross Country (XC)? XC is long distance running on grass and trails. While it can be viewed as an individual sport, cross country is also a team sport with scoring based on the placement of the team's top 7 runners.

This 6-week cross country program will introduce kids to this great sport.

Thursdays May 1 - June 5th. (Ages 5-12)  5:00pm - 5:45pm    $85 per participant

We will cover:

  • Pacing
  • Endurance
  • Race strategy
  • Mental strength
  • Confidence
  • And the importance and fun

Kids will go through age-appropriate workouts each week and the final class will end with a true cross country race. Kids will have the chance to experience the thrill of cross country and earn ribbons for their placing. All abilities are welcome!

Kids should dress for the weather as we will be outside. Please wear sneakers and bring a filled water bottle

Registration opens 3/1/25 for Orchard Park Residents, 3/8/25 for Non-Residents
